Old and New Projects

As promised, I have images of my finished projects from last week. First I wanted to talk about my new adventures in volunteering.

I have recently begun training to be an adoption counselor for MEOW Cat Rescue. They are the group I have been fostering kittens for over the past year. Fostering kittens is great but I felt I needed a little more human interaction. This way I get the best of both worlds. People and cats.

I have begun my training and have completed orientation, customer service, and cat handling. The cat handling part can be tough 'cause some cats simply don't want to be "handled". I can't say I blame them. So far I haven't been bitten or scratched in the process. I hope I can maintain my lucky streak. I really love the people at MEOW and I look forward to helping with their mission to help find forever homes for all their kitties.

This is the MEOW logo on the sweatshirt I will wear while volunteering. Cute, huh?!

Now for this week's finished projects:
Here is my wall hanging of the dress quilt.

Here is my completed yellow baby quilt.

Now it's time for me to get busy with some Christmas baking. Thanks for stopping by.

  1. It's so great you are going to be an adoption counselor. Seems like it would be a perfect fit for you.

Love that dress quilt, so cute. Are you going to hang it in your workroom? What are your plans for all of these quilts?
